Tim has gratefully enjoyed performing across North America and in Europe. He was hailed as a “demon at the keyboard” for his performances of Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini with Alexis Hauser and the McGill Symphony Orchestra, and his performances of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1 and the Shostakovich Piano Quintet were featured on CBC Classical. Tim is also an advocate for both new and historically underrepresented music. Recently, he premiered Timepiece—a commission with composer Phillip Sink—in a recital for Chamber Music Milwaukee. While there, he relished a brief artist residency at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee to workshop pieces-in-progress with young composers and a start a conversation in the piano literature seminar about programming choices and diversifying performance repertoire.

A prolific chamber musician praised for his keen sense of ensemble, Tim has appeared with Opéra de Montréal (OperaTalks lectures), the Orchestre classique de Montréal (All That Jazz series with Trio Élan), and the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal (OSM Chamber Music Series), among many others. He has worked closely in duet teams with soprano Ana Toumine as well as flutist Naama Neuman, with whom he transcribed and edited various pieces for flute and piano for Editions Neuman. Tim is currently one half of the LETS Duo with longtime piano duet partner Sadie Eaton.

Throughout his education, Tim was awarded top academic and performance awards for his versatility as a performer and scholar. He holds a Doctor of Music degree from McGill University, a Master of Music degree and Performer Diploma from Indiana University, and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. His teachers include Jean-Louis Haguenauer, Elisabeth and Eugene Pridonoff, and Ilya Poletaev. Tim’s piano studies began with Brent Schloneger, whose teaching enabled Tim to perform many places across his home state of Ohio, including Reinberger Chamber Hall at Severance Hall, make his orchestral debut, and win prizes in several competitions, including the Music Teachers National Association.

He also enjoys staying actively engaged as an adjudicator and guest teacher. Recent highlights include recitals, adjudication, and classes at the Pacific International Youth Music Festival (Vancouver, BC), the 20th Century and Beyond Festival at Ohio University, Chamber Music Milwaukee, and the University of Mount Union. Tim has served as a lecturer at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, Marianopolis College, and McGill University.

Tim resides in Columbus, Ohio, where he holds a full piano studio.
